
The college is less than an hour away from Walt Disney World, Busch Gardens, Universal Studios and Sea World. Florida Southern College is a member of the Sunshine State Conference in the NCAA Division II, and it fields 18 varsity athletic teams, known as the Moccasins.Florida Southern College is near many major Florida attractions. The University Program Board is a student-run organization that puts on entertainment and educational events and activities for the campus community. There are a variety of clubs and organizations on campus-students interested in film can join the Cinemuse Film Club, or those with underwater pursuits in mind can join the Scuba Diving Club. James Madison University is located in Harrisonburg, Va., just over two hours from both Washington, D.C., and Richmond. The "Walk of Fame" at Rollins is lined with stones from the homes of legendary historical figures: Maya Angelou, Confucius and Martin Luther King Jr., to name a few. Other master's programs offered include teaching, human resources and liberal studies. In addition to its undergraduate programs, Rollins offers an MBA program through the Crummer Graduate School of Business. Fox Day – a popular campus tradition – occurs on a randomly chosen day in the spring when the college president places a statue of the Rollins fox on Mills Lawn, indicating that all classes have been canceled for the day.Undergraduates at Rollins can choose from about 30 majors, ranging from Latin American and Caribbean studies to computer science to theatre arts. The majority of students live on campus in one of the residence halls or apartment complexes. Greek life on campus comprises about 10 fraternities and sororities. The school even fields a varsity waterskiing team. The Tars, Rollins' athletic teams, compete in the NCAA Division II Sunshine State Conference.


There are more than 100 student clubs and organizations on campus, including a wakeboarding club and a ballroom dancing club.
